This study aims to reveal the implementation of academic supervision through activities, design program planning, implementation, evaluation as a follow-up by the head of madrasah at MTsN 1 Lima Puluh Kota. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection tools using interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. The results showed that; First, the implementation of academic supervision is carried out by compiling an academic supervision program and forming a supervision team that is given the task of making academic supervision goals and making academic supervision schedules. Second, the implementation of academic supervision with severaltechniques, namely teacher council meetings, carrying out class visits, class observations,observing teacher mastery of teaching materials, conducting group discussions andindividual talks. Third, follow up on the results of academic supervision of teaching staff bydiscussing learning methods, use and assessment techniques, use of learning media, use oftime in learning, and planning coaching activities or workshops.
